Mother of Divine Grace Book Trees

The Mother of Divine Grace Book Trees have been designed by Laura Berquist to help provide parents with an answer to the question: what should my student read next? Mrs. Berquist has organized the books into different age groups and categories: Fantasy, Animal Stories, Romantic Fiction, Interesting Moral Tales, Family Stories, Adventure Stories, Mystery Novels, and Comedy.

The original books listed as "types" were used in the Mother of Divine Grace Summer Book Clubs. The idea in these Book Trees is to supply students who liked those titles with similar titles that they might also like. Within each category, the books are grouped with similar books, so if a student enjoys a particular book, additional titles are recommended. For example, in the Fantasy category, a student who enjoyed Martin the Warrior by Brian Jacques or Dragonspell by Donita K. Paul will see that The Book of Three series by Lloyd Alexander is recommended, along with other similar books.
